Another Great Year In Prospect for Iron County Real Estate

The entire team here at Jared Zimmer Real Estate would like to wish you a very happy, healthy and successful 2017.

With all the festivities behind us, prospects for this year are now very much at the forefront of our minds.

The good news is that, in Iron County, there's every indication that we can look forward to another great year for real estate.

Just prior to Christmas, I wrote to you explaining that the lowest inventory of available homes for sale in the area for over a year presents a fantastic opportunity, with high buyer demand still ongoing. If you are contemplating selling your home, listing right now would bring many advantages, acting faster than most of those sellers returning to the market after the holidays.

It's a super chance to sell at a time when there's still reduced competition and better prospects of asking price robustness.

While mortgage rates have risen lately, this is largely because of a much overdue market correction from the extremely low rates of recent times. Rates are still very, very competitive by any historic comparison and let's also not forget that they have risen as a result of much higher confidence in economic prospects during 2017, which can only be a good thing.

The National Association of REALTORS® has said that 2017 is going to see even more millennials buying a place of their own, following on from the major return of first time buyers last year. This will further energize the entire home purchasing chain.

A recent report by Corelogic predicts homeowners' net worth will rise by 5.2% in 2017, building on the significant rises in home equity that we've seen in recent times. This creates a great environment for people to consider selling their homes to upgrade.

Don't hesitate to contact us today if you're thinking about a move in 2017, or have any real estate questions. We're always happy to help.
